The Jersey Shore...On Court Street
MTV's The Jersey Shore certainly has attracted a lot of controversy. Here is a clip of The Jersey Shore's "The Situation" being interviewed right here in Carroll Gardens at Body Elite...
I wonder if Body Elite is searching for a new type of clientele by hosting this "interview".

I am so mad a Body Elite! I will NEVER join that place again. I paid for a 6 month membership and they continued to take money out of my credit card account for the next 6 months-their explanation "all gyms do this until you come in in person and cancel"!

ReplyDeleteLooks like Staten Island's past...coping with post-"Saturday Night Fever" and of 25-30+ years ago, somehow still lives as a niche (is there hope for the dodo?). MTV found it alive & kicking in New Jersey, almost like a WWII Japanese soldier still believing the war's still on, being dropped off & time going by him, on a South Pacific Island? (only with no gel) ..not a bad piece of PR for the gym. Although in Brooklyn, these type of guys were called "cuisines" and "cuisinettes" (pronounced with a z) and never, ever were called guidos, which again.. is a Staten Island-thing, and decades old. PS - Blame his parents. But then again, he is making money and having some laughs.
